Bread from the same basket., 2010

Bovinich examines making art in an alternative space in Bread from the same basket. Asked to contemplate the idea of the apartment gallery for this show, Bovinich gravitated toward the potential of sculpture in an apartment/gallery.  Apartment/galleries require a relationship in representation; the apartment inhabits the gallery, and the gallery dwells in the apartment. Bovinich drew a relational parallel to bread representing the home, and the home as a keeper for the bread.
